Frequently Asked Questions
Answers to common questions about the free SEO tools, AI search visibility, technical SEO, indexing, and the AI SEO Prompt System.
Free SEO Tools
Are the SEO tools on SearchLearningTools really free?
Yes. All tools on the free-seo-tools section run in your browser and require no account or payment. The optional AI SEO Prompt System is a one-time paid product sold separately.
Do the tools require a login or API key?
No login is required for any of the free tools. They run entirely in your browser.
Can I use the tool output for client projects?
Yes. You can use the generated drafts as starting points for client work. Review, adapt, and verify the output before publishing — the tools generate structured drafts, not finished copy.
What free tools are available?
The free tools include: AI Keyword Generator, Meta Description Generator, Blog Title Generator, Schema Markup Generator, Content Optimizer, FAQ Generator, Keyword Clustering Tool, Robots.txt Generator, AI Visibility Checker, SERP Snippet Preview, Robots.txt AI-Crawler Tester, and the new SEO Visibility Checker.
SEO Visibility and Indexing
Why is my page not indexed by Google?
Common reasons include: a noindex directive in the HTML meta tags or HTTP headers, the page being blocked in robots.txt, a canonical tag pointing to a different URL, thin or duplicate content that Google has chosen not to index, or the page being new and not yet discovered. Use the SEO Visibility Checker to diagnose the most likely causes.
What is the difference between crawling and indexing?
Crawling is when a search engine bot visits and reads your page. Indexing is when Google decides to include the page in its search index. A page can be crawled but not indexed if it has a noindex directive, is considered low quality, or has a canonical issue. Only indexed pages can appear in search results.
How do I check whether my page is indexed?
Use the URL Inspection tool in Google Search Console. Type the exact URL and click "Request indexing" to submit it for crawling if it has not been indexed. You can also search Google for site:yourdomain.com/your-page to check if it appears.
Does a sitemap guarantee indexing?
No. A sitemap is a discovery signal — it tells Google which pages exist. Whether Google indexes those pages depends on quality, crawl budget, and policy signals like canonical and noindex directives.
AI Search and GEO
What is AI search visibility?
AI search visibility refers to how likely a page is to be cited or summarized by AI-powered search engines like Google AI Overviews, ChatGPT search, Perplexity, or Claude. It depends on crawler access, structured content, clear direct answers, and factual accuracy.
How do I make my website visible to AI search engines?
Allow relevant AI crawlers in your robots.txt, provide clear direct answers near the top of each page, use structured data (JSON-LD), write factual and verifiable content, keep pages updated, and build internal links so crawlers can find your important pages. Use the AI Visibility Checker tool for a page-level audit.
Does blocking AI training crawlers affect AI search visibility?
Training crawlers (like GPTBot) are separate from retrieval/search crawlers (like OAI-SearchBot or ChatGPT-User). Blocking GPTBot can prevent your content from being used in model training but does not necessarily affect whether ChatGPT or Perplexity can access your page for live search responses. See the Robots.txt AI-Crawler Tester for a detailed breakdown.
What is GEO (Generative Engine Optimization)?
GEO is the practice of optimizing content to appear in AI-generated answers and summaries. It focuses on answer clarity, factual accuracy, structured formatting, entity consistency, and crawler accessibility rather than traditional keyword-density metrics.
Technical SEO
What is a canonical URL and why does it matter?
A canonical URL tells search engines which version of a page is the authoritative one when multiple URLs have the same or similar content. For example, if your page is accessible at both http:// and https://, or with and without www, the canonical tag prevents Google from treating them as duplicate pages. All canonical URLs on this site point to the HTTPS non-www version.
What is structured data and why should I add it?
Structured data (usually JSON-LD) provides machine-readable context about your page content. It helps search engines understand what type of content you have — an article, a product, a FAQ — and can make your results eligible for rich features in search results. It does not guarantee rich snippets, but correct implementation makes eligibility possible.
How do I fix a noindex page that should be indexed?
Find the noindex directive (in the HTML <meta name="robots"> tag, the HTTP X-Robots-Tag header, or your CMS settings) and remove it. After removing it, submit the URL for inspection in Google Search Console.
What should I put in my robots.txt?
A minimal robots.txt should allow crawlers to access important content, block only pages that have no search value (like admin or checkout pages), and include a Sitemap directive pointing to your sitemap.xml. Avoid accidentally blocking CSS or JavaScript files that are needed for rendering. Use the Robots.txt AI-Crawler Tester to check your live robots.txt against specific crawlers.
AI SEO Prompt System
What is the AI SEO Prompt System?
The AI SEO Prompt System is a structured library of prompts for ChatGPT, Claude, and Gemini. It covers keyword research, content briefs, on-page optimization, internal linking, and technical SEO workflows. It is a one-time purchase from Gumroad.
Does the AI SEO Prompt System guarantee rankings?
No. It provides structured starting points for SEO workflows. Actual rankings depend on content quality, competition, domain authority, and many other factors that no tool or prompt system can guarantee.
Does it work with any AI model?
The prompts are written to work with ChatGPT (GPT-4o), Claude, and Gemini. They are plain-text prompt templates, not software integrations.
Is there a refund policy?
Because this is a digital product delivered immediately, purchases are generally non-refundable. Contact hello@searchlearningtools.com if you have a problem with your download.
